Once you get here you won't want to leave the Knotty Pine Cottage...maybe it's from exhaustion because you just had fun canoeing or tubing the Shenandoah River, hiking, fishing, golfing, or had some other outdoor adventure, or maybe you don't want to leave until you etch the peaceful moments in your mind as you are relaxing in the Knotty Pine's outdoor six-person hot tub viewing the stars and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This three bedroom cottage with two full baths can accommodate six people comfortably, & up to eight people using the sleeper sofa. Dine inside or outside: There is a fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, and dining area, two couches (one a sleeper) in the living area with a woodstove insert in the fireplace. Firewood is provided! This is a great place to get cozy on cold nights, or on nice summer evenings sit outside on the large deck, cook on the charcoal grill, have a fire in the fire pit and listen to the sounds of nature and the Shenandoah River running, when the water's not too low.
A canoe and four tubes are available for you to play with in the river, in the summer. Walk out the door of the Knotty Pine & you can hike the George Washington National Forest. It's a short 10 minute walk to the river, or drive, plenty of parking. Walk for more than a mile along the Shenandoah river on national forest property from #8 to #9, stop & fish, or just sit & listen to the sounds of the river.
Plan a day in Luray to see the famous Luray Caverns or hike the trails of Shenandoah National Park. There are great shops and restaurants in Luray and the Page county area. Or plan to shop the local farmers market and eat out on the deck. Enjoy all this area has to offer, but also relax and do nothing at the Knotty Pine Cottage.
The Knotty Pine has Dish TV/DVD in the living room and in the Master Bedroom which also has a king-size bed. The two other bed rooms have double beds.
Rates--two night minimum stay with 3 night minimum stay for holiday weekends:
$390 for first 2 nights ~ for 2 adults & minor children
Additional charges: $25/adult guests ~ kids free ~ $10/pets
2 night rates if 4 adults = $490 ~ 6 adults=$590 ~ 8 adults=$690
To add an extra night -- $145/night
$970/week for 2 adults up to $1200 for 8 adults ~ includes a free night!
Plus 9% Sales and lodging tax added to all rental fees.
